Time continues to fly! (Summer 2012)

Time continues to fly by, and we are into the final term of the year! Very soon we will say our fond farewells to our Year 11 pupils, as they leave to prepare for their GCSE examinations. A Garden Party and a Leaver's Dinner are planned for 11th May, which will be their last day of classes.

This is also a term which holds a number of exciting events and activities. This Friday we will be enjoying our annual International Food evening as parents and staff bring and share food from the different nationalities and cultures represented in the school. Also on Friday, will be the arrival of a group of pupils and two teachers from Paris on the return leg of our French Exchange programme. I trust that they will enjoy their stay with us as much as our pupils enjoyed their recent visit to France.

On Tuesday evening 1st May, parents are invited to join us for Praise and Prayer at 7.30pm.

The Bank Holiday weekend ending on Monday 7th May is followed by an INSET day for staff on the Tuesday so pupils will enjoy a four day long weekend!

For Thursday 31st May we are planning a "Street Party" at the School to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the reign of Her Majesty the Queen. We will be closing off the driveway, and having tables and bunting set up as we enjoy  a celebration meal together - please pray for sunny weather! Details will follow.

On the evening of the same day we will have our Summer Concert, as the final event in the Summer Arts Festival. This is always a popular and enjoyable event.

These activities, along with the normal academic and extra-mural programme, should ensure an exciting and productive half-term.
